This is an informational tutorial on how to install and run our software applications without breaking a sweat...
Installation instructions for Windows 95 / 98SE / ME / XP:
If your are running Windows 95 up-to Windows XP on your computer, you will not have any problems installing and running all our desktop and portable software. Microsoft created these operating systems perfectly and they run perfectly too with our applications.
Installation instructions for Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 and beyond:
If on the other hand you have Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 and beyond installed, you may experience some difficulty depending which software you are installing. Most of our installshield software will not have any problem running on your system, as long as you run them as an administrator. Simply right-click on the setup executable and select the "Run as Administrator" option in the popup shortcut menu. That's all you need to do...
Update: Currently our most up-to-date installshield files are now capable of running automatically with administrator's rights.
If you are running one of the portable database or spreadsheet software{QT Calc} applications, you will have to run them with administrator rights. Again, you will only need to right-click on the executable or icon and select the "Run as Administrator" option.
How to run our file transfer applications successfully...
To run our file transfer software, you need to add our applications to your security software's exception list. The below image shows Windows Defender/Microsoft Security Essentials exceptions:
If you have any of the above software installed on your system, add them to your security software's exception list for a much more reliable and faster transfer rate and execution speed. Also add any of our Video phone software to this list, if you have them installed, as they also contain file transfer capabilities. This will also prevent any unnecessary errors and system freezes when being used.
How to install and run our new Progressive Web Applications(PWA) successfully...
Just FYI - All our online web applications including our Online Office Suite are all fully qualified Progressive Web Applications, meaning you can install them directly to your computer's desktop or tablet's home screen WITHOUT the need for going to any App store! . . . e.g. Apple's AppStore or Google's Playstore. They are capable of running on any Operating System.
On your tablet, just press or tap on the little house with a cross inside it at the top-right hand side of your browser when it appears on your screen. This will then install your chosen webapp as a native program to your tablet's home screen and place an icon alongside your other native apps. Our web applications are fully capable of online and offline operation. So even if you don't have a connection, our PWA software will still work perfectly as intended.
Alternatively when a PWA is detected on your desktop or laptop computer, it will display the following notification on your browser... Just click on it to install your selected web app.
Desktop Database Software:
As for running desktop database software on Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 and beyond, you will need to make the administrator rights permanent.
You will need to do the following:
- Find the application executable or shortcut icon and right-click on it and select "Properties..." - {at the bottom of the popup menu}
- Go to the Compatibility tab and change the following settings:
- At the bottom, select the "Run this program as an administrator". This will grant you access to run the applications successfully.
- Press on "Apply" and then press "OK". The database program should run now.
The above instructions are only necessary for MonoBase, Invoice Master, and the main start-up menu for the Blade Runner office suite.
64 Bit Windows Systems:
If you have a 64 bit Windows system, you will need to adjust the database path for Invoice Master, as the program file's folder has a different description - C:\Program Files x86\ instead of the usual path C:\Program Files\ for 32 bit systems.
Here are two ways in getting our database software running on 64-Bit Windows systems:
To correct this problem, simply do the following:
1. Go to your control panel and open the "BDE Administrator" - {classic view}
2. Select the "Database" header to list all the databases
3. If your application is listed, make sure it's path is correctly shown on the right-hand side
4. To change the path to the correct one, simply double-click on the path shown and find the database folder where you installed it.
The correct path for Windows 64 bit systems must be the following: C:\Program File x86\AppName\Data
Here's the other way:
1. A quick and easy way of installing Invoice Master:
After you have unzipped the downloaded file, you must find and open the "BDEMerge.ini" file with Notepad.
The contents will look like the following:
[EZInvoice]
Driver=PARADOX
Params=PATH:C:\Program Files\SSuiteInvoice\DataBase;ENABLE BCD:FALSE
BDEDriver=STANDARD
[Drivers]
Driver0=Microsoft Paradox Driver (*.db)
Change the path to the following: Params=PATH:C:\Program Files (x86)\SSuiteInvoice\DataBase;ENABLE BCD:FALSE
This will ensure a proper installation without any problems. Just remember to run the application as an "Administrator".
That is it, if you follow the above instructions, everything will run smooth as can be.
Please also remember to read the "Read Me" file after you have installed these software.
Using a compatible document format to play nice with everybody...
If you need to create and exchange MS Word documents(*.doc) as a rule, then there is another way in staying completely compatible with everybody, no matter what software they use. This format is the most compatible document format currently available next to the rich text document format.
Simply save all your documents in MS Word or SSuite WordGraph in the following manner:
When you save your documents, use this format... Word 97-2003 & 6.0/95 - RTF (*.doc).
To simplify this procedure in MS Word, simply go to the "Tools >> Options..." menu item, and under the "Save" tab item, select your default document type as the above mentioned document type. This will ensure that all your documents will stay compatible no matter where you need to use them, either in MS Word or SSuite Office's WordGraph word processor. This procedure may also be used in Word 95 up to Word 2007.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
All Excel documents created in SpreadForm One and Accel, are fully compatible with any spreadsheet application that can open and read the Excel file format. Excel files created in Excel itself, are locked to prevent other office suites from being compatible with MS Office. To open these locked Excel files, follow the steps below.
Please Note! - This procedure cannot be used in Excel 2007 or Excel 2010. Microsoft does not support older formats in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 that are below the standard Office 97. Click here for further details.
For compatibility with Excel, use the following method:
To make a Single Excel 97(or Higher - 2003) worksheet compatible with SSuite Office's SpreadForm One and Accel, follow these steps:
